Award Announcement

On 27 October 2026, RMZ announced that its two flagship properties, RMZ Ecoworld 30 and RMZ Infinity, each received the British Safety Council’s Sword of Honour 2026, a global accolade that recognises excellence in the management of health and safety risks at work.

Assessment Details

Both campuses qualified for the award after attaining the maximum five‑star rating in the British Safety Council’s health and safety management audit for the assessment period spanning 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026. The audit, conducted by an independent panel of experts, evaluated more than 50 best‑practice indicators through documentation audits, management and employee interviews, and onsite operational observations. The five‑star audit highlighted robust health and safety management systems, including proactive risk management, leadership engagement, employee participation, operational controls and a strong culture of continuous improvement. Notably, each property achieved the five‑star rating on its very first audit attempt in both the previous year and the current year—an uncommon distinction.

Significance of the Sword of Honour

The Sword of Honour is reserved for organisations that not only secure five‑star status but also demonstrate exceptional commitment to continuous improvement and world‑class safety performance. RMZ Ecoworld 30 secured the Sword of Honour for the second consecutive year, while RMZ Infinity (BLR) earned the honour for the first time in 2026. The recognition underscores the importance RMZ places on health and safety in everyday workplace management and acknowledges the shared responsibility of property management teams, service partners and senior leadership in maintaining safe environments.

About the Awards

The 2026 awards mark the 47th consecutive year the British Safety Council has presented the Sword of Honour for health and safety management excellence. The same ceremony also celebrated the 14th year of the Globe of Honour for environmental management, the third year of the Shield of Honour for wellbeing management, and the inaugural year of the Guardian of Honour for process safety management. Winners across these categories achieved the maximum five‑star rating in the Council’s independent audits—covering health and safety, environmental, wellbeing and process safety—during the same 1 August 2025‑31 July 2026 period, and demonstrated a proven track record of best‑practice culture from the shop floor to the boardroom.
