Platform: NIA, RNIT's Conversational AI platform

Scale: Up to 20 lakh users/interview sessions

  • For pursuing students: Up to two interview attempts per user with minimum 3-month gap between attempts
  • For all other users: One interview attempt per user

Business Model: Software as a Service (SaaS) with charges billed on a per-minute per user usage basis

Geographic Scope: Domestic (India)

Languages Supported: English, Hindi, and Telugu from Go-live, with provision for additional regional languages

Integration: Naipunyam portal integration

Project Timeline

Deployment Schedule: Configuration, integration and deployment within 15 working days from NOA receipt, subject to dependencies and approvals

Contract Duration: Five-year services agreement from date of signing

Project Tier: Tier-7 (above ₹25 crore inclusive of GST as per company policy)

Corporate Governance Aspects

Related Party Status: No interest by promoter/promoter group/group companies in APSSDC

Arm's Length Transaction: The order does not fall within related party transactions

Strategic Significance

This award marks RNIT's entry into large-scale deployment of Generative AI solutions in the government sector and represents a first-of-its-kind government-led deployment in India of a multilingual GenAI-enabled conversational interview and job-preparation platform at this scale.

The project is expected to create a reusable reference architecture for responsible, high-volume Conversational AI deployments across public-sector Citizen-Centric Services, Higher Education, Skill and Employment programmes.
