Press Release Overview

On July 30, 2026, RoboGenius – a leading Indian STEM education organisation founded in 2006 (formerly Techtronics Education) – announced the launch of its ‘Built to Build AI’ initiative in partnership with LEGO® Education International. The initiative introduces the LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI and LEGO® Education Science learning kits to schools across India, positioning RoboGenius as one of the first LEGO® Education resellers delivering next‑generation classroom experiences.

Initiative Objectives and Scope

The programme seeks to shift AI education from passive consumption to active creation, enabling students to understand, question and build AI systems through collaborative, hands‑on learning. It targets IB schools and A‑ and A+ CBSE schools, with an ambition to partner with over 100 schools by March 2027. Initial rollout focuses on key metropolitan regions – Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru – with plans to expand nationwide.

Learning Solutions

The LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI solution introduces primary‑grade students to core computational‑thinking and AI concepts using familiar LEGO® building blocks. Learners work in small groups to design, test and improve intelligent systems while exploring responsible AI practices in a safe, age‑appropriate environment that safeguards student privacy. Complementary, the LEGO® Education Science solution offers curriculum‑aligned, inquiry‑based science experiences that promote experimentation and real‑world problem solving. Together, the two platforms provide an integrated pathway for schools to strengthen both STEM and AI education.

Supporting Activities

RoboGenius will complement the kit deployment with AI workshops, classroom demonstrations, teacher‑engagement programmes and collaborative learning events for partner schools. These activities aim to give educators, parents and students first‑hand exposure to AI teaching methods that emphasize ethical reasoning, creativity, collaboration and problem solving.

Leadership Statements

“Artificial Intelligence is becoming a foundational literacy for the next generation. At RoboGenius, our vision is very clear – to transform education from passive learning to active innovation… The real opportunity is not teaching children how to use AI tools, but helping them understand how AI works, how to think critically about it, and how to build responsibly with it,” said Dr. Shabnam Sharma, Founder & CEO, RoboGenius.

“Our mission has always been larger than introducing new technology into schools. We want to enable every student to succeed across the world… Technology is only effective when it is embedded within a strong educational ecosystem,” added Mr. Tom Hall, Head of LEGO® Education International.

Market Context

The launch aligns with India’s accelerating national focus on digital transformation and AI readiness, aiming to equip learners with future‑ready skills such as computational thinking, creativity, collaboration, ethical reasoning and problem solving—capabilities increasingly recognised as essential for tomorrow’s workforce.

Company Background

RoboGenius delivers a comprehensive STEM education ecosystem that includes curriculum, teacher professional development, technology laboratories, competitions and long‑term implementation support. Unlike traditional technology products that focus solely on hardware or software, RoboGenius integrates these elements to embed future‑ready learning into everyday teaching.
