Event Overview

The Runway Edit debuted in Bengaluru on 5 October 2026 at Conrad Bengaluru, conceived by MKJ Entertainment as a premium multi‑city experiential luxury platform.

Creative Collaboration

The inaugural edition partnered with designer Shubhika Sharma, founder and creative director of Mumbai‑based luxury label Papa Don’t Preach, showcasing a retrospective of 30 archival, iconic and signature looks spanning her 16‑year design journey. The opening featured Bollywood celebrity Riya Sen wearing “The Imperial Pop” from the latest POP PAISLEY collection, while supermodel Reha Sukheja closed the show in the “Celtic Hearts” lehenga.

Musical and Hospitality Elements

Indian classical artist and music director Anoop Shankar performed live, adding a cultural layer to the evening. Approximately 250 high‑net‑worth individuals (HNIs), ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals (UHNIs), global entrepreneurs, investors and cultural influencers attended the invitation‑only event.

Founder’s Vision

Founder Mahesh Kumar Gowda, also founder of the Queens Premier League, stated the launch is the first of its kind in India and expressed ambition to roll out The Runway Edit to other Indian cities, creating a national platform that blends fashion, culture and community.
