Rustomjee Group partners with Rotary Club of Bombay Airport to fund the Kawale Check Dam in Palghar, Maharashtra.
The dam, costing approximately Rs 70.58 lakh, will be inaugurated on 7 June 2026 and aims to serve 1,800 farming families across 18 villages.
Designed to store water for nearly two kilometres upstream, it will enhance groundwater recharge, improve year‑round water access and boost agricultural productivity.
Rustomjee’s Chief Sustainability Officer Namrata Nulwalla highlighted water security as key to rural economic resilience and community‑led development.
