On his birthday, 7 August 2026, Sachiin Joshi announced the opening of King’s Mansion, a seven‑star, super‑luxury boutique hotel situated on the historic Candolim estate in North Goa. The hotel comprises 48 exclusive rooms and is operated by Planet Hotels & Resorts.

The estate, previously known as Kingfisher Villa and famed for high‑profile gatherings and celebrity visits, was acquired by Joshi in 2017. The acquisition attracted national attention because the villa was regarded as one of the world’s most recognisable private addresses. Following the purchase, the property was renamed King’s Mansion and underwent a complete reworking from a private residence to a hospitality destination intended to compete with the finest global luxury hotels.

The hotel’s interiors blend dramatic Indian heritage with contemporary international luxury. Guests are welcomed into a lobby featuring sculptural lighting, bold monochrome marble flooring, mirrored accents and plush seating, alongside a private shrine framed by marigold and gilded detailing. A lounge anchored by a lunar‑inspired installation set against a charcoal backdrop showcases Art Deco gold detailing, jewel‑toned velvet seating and sculptural ring chandeliers.
