Sagebrook International School inaugurated its new Nanakramguda campus in Hyderabad, Telangana, in July 2026, marking the city’s first biophilic, neuro‑inclusive school environment. The campus was designed by globally recognised school architect Prakash Nair, a winner of the A4LE MacConnell Award, and was created in partnership with Whitgift School UK. Nair’s design replaces traditional classroom‑and‑corridor layouts with spaces that support children’s nervous‑system regulation, employing abundant daylight, warm natural materials such as birch ply, tactile textures, low‑VOC finishes, high recycled‑content elements and energy‑efficient lighting to reduce environmental footprint and improve indoor air quality. Signature spaces include a kitchen garden and Children’s Kitchen that move children from soil to plate, a sand pit for open‑ended sensory play, and a koi pond embodying the school’s “Flow Like a River” philosophy. Modular, adaptable planning allows spaces to evolve with learning needs while minimizing waste. Head of School Zoe L. Hauser emphasised that neuro‑inclusion is integrated throughout the campus rather than confined to a single room, describing the environment as calm and safe for every child. Founders Praveen Raju and Eshita Kalidindi stated that the aim was not merely to build an aesthetically pleasing institution but to set a new benchmark for Indian schools, aligning world‑class education with deep care for child development.
