Acquisition Overview

On 28 October 2026, Samrat Group, a diversified business group with USD 300 million revenue, announced that it has acquired an 85 percent stake in Kartikeya Industries (KIPL) based in Hyderabad.

Strategic Rationale

The purchase expands Samrat Group’s industrial manufacturing portfolio and aligns with founder Raja Jain’s vision of building a diversified, future‑ready business platform. The addition brings engineered steel solutions for infrastructure, railways, road safety and solar applications into the Group’s existing operations in steel, building materials and consumer electronics distribution.

Management Changes

Aditya Jain, son of founder Raja Jain, will assume leadership of Kartikeya Industries to strengthen capabilities and drive the next phase of expansion. Anurag Jain, also a son, will support the Group’s growth initiatives.

Transaction Details

Upwisery acted as the sole transaction advisor and also facilitated private‑credit acquisition financing from a leading non‑bank financial company (NBFC). The financing, valuation and acquisition components were coordinated by Upwisery.

Post‑Acquisition Portfolio

Following the deal, Samrat Group now operates across four sectors – steel, building materials, consumer electronics distribution and engineered manufacturing – positioning it as one of Hyderabad’s most diversified family‑owned business groups.
