Samsung Quadruples DRAM Supply to Tesla

Samsung Electronics increased its monthly 8GB GDDR6 DRAM shipments to Tesla fourfold in April versus Q1 levels.
The boost supports Tesla’s in‑vehicle infotainment and autonomous driving systems amid reported memory supply difficulties.
Samsung is expanding production at its Hwaseong campus and plans AI chip production for Tesla at its Texas fab in late 2026.
The companies signed a $16.5 billion long‑term semiconductor agreement last year, while Samsung shifts focus from traditional DRAM to higher‑margin AI‑focused HBM chips.
