Satin Growth Alternatives Limited (SGAL), described as the youngest subsidiary of Satin Creditcare Network Limited (SCNL), has deployed capital from its Category II Alternative Investment Fund which recently declared its first close. The investment of ₹5 crore was made in Indic Wisdom, a manufacturer and distributor of traditionally crafted, wholesome food products including wood-pressed oils and value-added products derived from native Indian oilseeds.
The investment was structured as a combination of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) and Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) and was made on September 9, 2026. This marks the first deployment under SGAL's stated strategy of providing quasi-debt and equity-linked capital to growth-stage businesses.
Indic Wisdom is described as a woman-founder led company with a strong presence on leading quick-commerce and e-commerce platforms, ensuring accessibility across all major metropolitan cities in India. The company focuses on oilseeds and upcycling of their by-products, converting them into highly digestible proteins and fibres, which provides a distinctive efficiency and competitive advantage. The company is delivering more than 2x revenue growth annually with its expanding omnichannel presence and product portfolio.
The ₹5 crore investment will be used to scale up Indic Wisdom's manufacturing capacity, supporting the company's ambition of expanding offline distribution and overall revenue over the next two years. The investment was led and structured by SGAL working closely with Prajakta Khare and Kaustubh Khare, Founders of Indic Wisdom.
Aditi Singh, Director at SGAL and Chief Strategy Officer at SCNL, stated that this investment reflects SGAL's focus on backing women-led, sustainable, category-defining businesses ready to scale. Shivika Sethi, Fund Manager and Partner at SGAL, noted that the NCD and CCPS structure provides downside protection while allowing participation in the company's equity upside. She outlined a plan to leverage SCNL's branch network to drive Indic Wisdom's pan-India distribution expansion and accelerate topline growth.
Prajakta Khare, founder of Indic Wisdom, stated that the investment will accelerate their journey towards achieving ₹200 crore Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in the next 12 months by expanding distribution footprint and strengthening supply chain. The partnership enables connection with millions of rural households through Satin's extensive network.
