Schneider Electric announced on 18 August 2026 from New Delhi the launch of Yuva Yodha, a national technology hackathon designed to accelerate youth‑led innovation for India’s energy transition. The competition is open to Indian citizens or residents aged 18 years and above who are enrolled as full‑time students in undergraduate, postgraduate or STEM programmes, and participants may compete individually or in teams of up to four members.
The hackathon focuses on four challenge areas – Sustainable Agriculture, Smart Buildings, Grid Reliability & Renewable Intermittency, and Smart Manufacturing – and carries the theme “Let Your Big Idea Shape the Future of Energy Tech.” The prize structure includes a grand prize of ₹20 lakh, a runner‑up prize of ₹15 lakh, and a second runner‑up prize of ₹10 lakh. In addition, the top 10 teams will present their solutions to Schneider Electric’s senior leadership and may receive grant funding from Schneider Electric Ventures. All participants will gain access to industry mentorship, expert insights and a platform to showcase ideas to Schneider executives and the broader innovation ecosystem.
