Earthshot Prize and Serum Institute of India Partnership
The Earthshot Prize announced that Serum Institute of India will act as the principal sponsor of its 2026 Summit in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The summit, scheduled for 2026, will bring together environmental innovators, investors, philanthropists and business leaders to accelerate solutions to pressing environmental challenges. Jason Knauf, CEO of The Earthshot Prize, said India has an extraordinary track record of turning ambitious ideas into scalable solutions and welcomed Serum Institute’s global experience in moving breakthroughs from innovation to impact. Adar C. Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India, stated that bold ideas require resources and collaborations to become accessible at scale and expressed pride in supporting the summit and innovators working toward a healthier, more sustainable future. The Mumbai programme will culminate in The Earthshot Prize Awards Night, where five winners will each receive €1 million to further develop their environmental solutions. The event will showcase the 15 finalists and celebrate their work to protect and restore the planet.
