Shell to Acquire ARC Resources $16.4B Deal

ARC Resources shares surged 21.5% to C$31.31 after Shell announced a $16.4 billion acquisition including debt.
Shell will pay C$8.20 cash plus 0.40247 Shell shares per ARC share, boosting its output by 370,000 boe/d.
The transaction is slated to close in the second half of 2026, with ARC stock up 21.83% YTD, highest since June 2025.
