Overview
Shikkhar Suri, who had risen to the title of Director‑Growth at a US‑based company, voluntarily stepped down to address what he describes as India’s biggest career gap – the inability of talented professionals to position and communicate their value in a global marketplace.
Rationale for Departure
Suri observed that despite possessing world‑class technical capabilities, Indian engineers, marketers, designers, consultants and freelancers often struggle to secure better jobs, attract international clients, or build successful careers. He attributes this to a lack of training in self‑promotion, credibility building and global positioning, rather than a deficiency in skill.
Prior Experience
Over eight years, Suri accumulated experience across both corporates and startups, having worked with Google, American Express, Uber, Zomato and Blinkit before assuming his most recent director role.
Early Innovation
In 2012, well before artificial intelligence became mainstream, Suri taught himself computer‑vision and created a tool that enabled visually impaired individuals to recognize numbers, reinforcing his belief that technology delivers impact only when paired with purposeful application.
Current Initiative
Suri now runs an education platform aimed at working professionals, freelancers, entrepreneurs and agency owners. The platform provides training on global self‑branding, securing remote employment, attracting international clientele and leveraging AI to compete in a borderless economy.
Reach and Impact
The platform’s community has grown to more than one million followers, and its educational content has directly impacted over 50,000 professionals, students, freelancers and entrepreneurs across India.
