Overview
On July 18, 2026, Shree Sharda Group announced the launch of Lal Qilaa Express, a quick‑service restaurant (QSR) brand that brings the flavours of Old Delhi to the food court of Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden, New Delhi. The outlet’s exterior is painted deep brick‑red, echoing the Red Fort, and the brand tagline reads "Dilli Ka Asli Swaad, Har Roz, Har Baar".
Brand Concept and Menu
Lal Qilaa Express is the first restaurant brand the group has built entirely from scratch. The menu centres on classic Old Delhi dishes—dal makhani, tandoori kebabs, parathas, assorted curries, biryanis, chaats, and the signature chole bhature—adapted for a fast‑service format.
Founders and Strategic Rationale
The group was founded by Anirudh Agarwal, with Saumya Lohia Agarwal as co‑founder. Saumya Lohia Agarwal stated, "For years, our work has been about taking the world's best food formats and making them work for the Indian consumer. With Lal Qilaa Express, we wanted to flip that lens and build something around the food that defines Delhi. This brand is personal to us, and we have applied the same discipline and process to it that we bring to every format we run."
Existing Food‑and‑Beverage Portfolio
Prior to Lal Qilaa Express, Shree Sharda Group operated two international F&B formats in India: Papparoti India, a coffee‑bun café chain, and Wok to Walk India, a Barcelona‑originated wok‑based Asian street‑food brand that has over 100 stores globally and four stores in India.
Expansion Plans
Shree Sharda Group indicated that Lal Qilaa Express will expand beyond the Pacific Mall outlet into other high‑footfall malls and transit hubs across the country. Upcoming launches are slated for Calicut, Chennai and Mohali. The group already has stores across Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai, with further locations to be announced.
