SIG Tattva & AGI Greenpac Award INR 75 Lakhs PoCs to Deep‑Tech Start‑ups
On June 24‑25 2026, SIG Tattva – the corporate venture capital arm of the Somany Impresa Group – partnered with AGI Greenpac Limited, a leading glass‑packaging manufacturer, and Pontaq Ventures to conduct a two‑day Founder Immersion & Start‑up Workshop at AGI Greenpac’s manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad, Telangana. The event brought together eight deep‑tech start‑up founders selected from a shortlist of more than 20 candidates, drawn from Pontaq’s portfolio of approximately 180 start‑ups, to engage directly with the factory floor, co‑create solutions to live operational challenges, and pitch pilots to the C‑suite of both AGI Greenpac and SIG Tattva.
The eight participating start‑ups and their founders were:
- Novorbis Itus – Harsh Neekhra (Founder & CEO), offering patented industrial emission‑control systems.
- Kredily – Devendra Khandegar (Founder & CEO), providing an AI‑driven HRMS platform.
- Cairovision – Vedpal Singh / VP Singh (Founder), delivering AI‑powered video‑analytics for industrial sectors.
- mSense AI – Surekha Gupta (Co‑founder & CBO) and Shiv Shankar Maurya (Co‑founder & CEO), specializing in AI‑based quality inspection using computer vision and acoustic intelligence.
- Maxbyte Technologies – Ramshankar C.S. (Co‑founder & CEO), focusing on Industry 4.0, automation, robotics and decarbonisation.
- Presage Insights – Atul Sharma (Co‑founder), offering AI‑IoT predictive‑maintenance and asset‑performance management.
- Goat Robotics – Muthu Vangaliappan (Co‑founder & CEO) and Mugesh S (Co‑founder & MD), building autonomous mobile robots for intralogistics.
- Borlaug Web Services – Ayon Hazra (Founder & CEO), providing blockchain‑based supply‑chain transparency and carbon‑accounting solutions.
Following intensive shop‑floor walkthroughs, problem‑definition sessions with department heads, and collaborative solution development, the founders presented their proposals to senior leadership. Based on merit, milestone readiness and commercial potential, five of the start‑ups were awarded proof‑of‑concept (PoC) pilot engagements valued at a total of INR 75 Lakhs (approximately 7.5 million rupees). The awarded PoCs cover autonomous mobile robots, computer‑vision quality inspection, emission‑control technology, predictive‑maintenance platforms and logistics optimisation.
Quotes underscored the strategic intent: Shashvat Somany, Founder of SIG Tattva, described the initiative as “Floor to Future”, India’s first platform that democratises start‑up access to the shop floor. Sriharsha Bandaluppi, Head of SIG Tattva, highlighted the shift from superficial pitch decks to real‑world problem solving. Rajesh Khosla, CEO of AGI Greenpac, emphasized the value of external innovation for operational excellence. Prem Barthasarathy, Founder & Managing Partner of Pontaq VC, noted that traditional pilot cycles of 8‑18 months were compressed to 48 hours through this model.
AGI Greenpac Limited, with seven strategically located plants, serves over 500 institutional clients and is the country’s largest container‑glass manufacturer. SIG Tattva focuses on early‑stage deep‑tech ventures across manufacturing, enterprise SaaS, clean technologies and disruptive product innovations. Pontaq Ventures, founded in 2015 as the first India‑UK VC fund, has made 190+ investments across 23 Indian states and two UK regions, holds nearly 100 patents, created over 3,000 jobs and boasts roughly 30 % female‑founder representation.
The workshop is positioned as the inaugural chapter of an ongoing, repeatable open‑innovation programme that SIG Tattva and AGI Greenpac intend to extend beyond Pontaq to other venture partners, aiming to accelerate industrial digital transformation through structured, outcome‑driven collaboration.
