Smith+Nephew CFO Resignation
Smith+Neighbour announced that Chief Financial Officer John Rogers will vacate his role on 30 September 2026 to pursue an external position in the United States. Rogers relinquished his seat on the board with immediate effect, and the board has initiated a search for a permanent successor.
Rogers had held the CFO position for three years, a period during which the company executed its 12‑Point Plan, achieved improvements in financial performance, and formulated the RISE strategic initiative, as noted by Chief Executive Officer Deepak Nath.
Pierre Palassian, who currently serves as Senior Vice President Finance and Group Controller, has been appointed interim CFO pending the appointment of a permanent replacement. Palassian joined Smith+Neighbour in June 2017 after holding senior finance roles at AbbVie and Abbott Laboratories and has overseen finance for multiple divisions, including Global Operations, R&D, Advanced Wound Management, Sports Medicine, International Markets, and Emerging Markets.
No further details on the timeline for appointing a new CFO were provided.
