Project Details

SoftTech Engineers Limited has been awarded a ₹92.95 crores project by Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), India's largest container port. The project involves designing, building, and operating an AI/ML-enabled, cyber-aware Digital Twin and Digital Twin Command & Control Centre (DTCCC) for port operations.

Scope of Work

The Digital Twin will provide JNPA with a single, real-time operational view of its Seaside, Landside and Road-traffic operations across the entire approximately 34 sq km port area. The system is designed to enable a smart and intelligent decision support system for the Authority.

Strategic Significance

This represents SoftTech's first port-sector project win and marks their breakthrough entry into the port and maritime sector. The company secured this project based on its AECO (Architectural, Engineering, Constructions and Operations) sector expertise built over three decades since 1996.

Partnership Arrangement

SoftTech is implementing this project leveraging the globally recognized 3DEXPERIENCE platform by Dassault Systèmes. SoftTech will lead solution design, AI/ML development, systems integration, the DTCCC build-out and long-term operations on their CIVIT platform.

Expected Outcomes for JNPA

The Digital Twin is designed to deliver measurable improvements including:

  • Faster vessel turnaround and just-in-time arrivals on the seaside
  • Shared data platform across all five terminal operators, customs and rail that cuts cargo and container turnaround times
  • Shorter gate queues, decongested approach roads and end-to-end vehicle tracking
  • Advancement of JNPA's objectives of operational efficiency, sustainability, decarbonization, and safety and security

The platform is secure by design and built to scale as JNPA grows towards 10 million TEU capacity by 2027.
