Funding Announcement
Solinas Integrity, an IIT Madras‑incubated climate deep‑tech and robotics firm, announced a USD 5.5 million Series A1 round on 6 August 2026. The round was led by Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures and co‑led by Mela Ventures, with participation from Luthra Group and existing investors SBI Ventures (through the SVL‑SME Fund), Rainmatter and 8X Ventures Fund I. This follows the company’s earlier Series A in May 2024, also led by SBI Ventures.
Use of Proceeds
The capital will be deployed to accelerate scaling across Indian markets, expand the company’s footprint into the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and fast‑track development of next‑generation robotic inspection and cleaning technologies. Solinas will also strengthen its AI‑powered software and asset‑management platforms and broaden its industrial solutions portfolio, positioning itself as India’s first end‑to‑end value creator for underground infrastructure. The firm targets Rs 100 crore in revenue by fiscal year 2028, driven by growth in water and sanitation services and expanding industrial asset‑management contracts.
Business Overview
Founded by Divanshu Kumar (Co‑Founder & CEO) and Moinak Banerjee, Solinas builds robotics and AI systems that inspect, clean and digitise underground water and wastewater networks, addressing water leakages, contamination and the elimination of manual scavenging. Its technology is currently deployed in over 30 cities across 15 states, having executed more than 100 projects, identified over 25,000 defects and served more than 20 clients in the industrial sector. Notable utility partners include Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Greater Chennai Corporation, Noida Authority and several municipal corporations. The solutions can reduce water loss by up to 600,000 litres per kilometre of inspected network per day and cut operational costs by up to five times.
Investor Comments
Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman of Hero Enterprise, said the investment reflects the group’s belief that bold, technology‑first approaches are needed to solve India’s critical infrastructure challenges, highlighting Solinas’ impact on water security, worker safety and urban resilience. Akshay Panth, CIO of Neev Funds (SBI Ventures), praised Solinas for translating deep‑tech engineering into repeatable commercial traction at the intersection of water security, worker safety and climate resilience.
