The International Education group of Cambridge University Press & Assessment announced science teacher Soma Mandal of GD Goenka Public School, Delhi, as the global winner of the 2026 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Awards.
She received 40% of the public vote, surpassing 12,000 nominations from 129 countries and eight regional finalists.
The prize includes a professional development online course of her choice, £500 worth of books for her class, and a feature on a ‘Thank you’ page of new Cambridge textbooks launching November 2026.
The award was presented by Rod Smith, Group Managing Director of International Education at Cambridge, at the Cambridge office in New Delhi on 27 May 2026.
