Sonalika Tractors Sets World Record with Largest ‘दम’ Inscription

Sonalika Tractors announced that it has created a new world record by etching the Hindi word “दम” (DUM) into an agricultural field in Sikandrabad, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The inscription measures 125 feet in height, 272 feet in width and occupies a total area of 34,000 square feet.

The record was achieved using two of Sonalika’s Gold Series tractors – the Gold DI 745 III and the Gold DI 55 III – each coupled with 10‑foot rotavators to demonstrate the tractors’ power and capability. The Gold Series tractors are highlighted for having the largest 3‑cylinder 3,532 cc E3.5 engine in their class, a multi‑speed driveline offering 16 forward + 4 reverse or 12 forward + 3 reverse gears, and Jet Line hand‑throttle technology.

Joint Managing Director Raman Mittal of International Tractors Limited emphasized that the word “दम” symbolizes the determination of Indian farmers and that the record reflects the strength of Sonalika’s Gold Series. He noted that the achievement aligns with the company’s 30‑year legacy of empowering farmers and that the record was set on the very soil where Sonalika’s purpose is realized.

Founded in 1996, Sonalika Tractors is India’s No. 1 tractor export brand and a leading domestic tractor manufacturer. The company also pioneered price transparency in the tractor industry by publishing tractor prices and service costs on its website.

The record forms part of Sonalika’s celebration of 30 years of growth, rural prosperity, and its contribution to global farm mechanisation.
