Launch Overview
Sony India announced the launch of the BRAVIA 7II television series, the company’s first True RGB LED BRAVIA TV. The new line is built around Sony’s proprietary RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro, which independently controls red, green and blue LEDs to deliver precise colour reproduction, deeper blacks and reduced blooming.
Technology Highlights
The BRAVIA 7II combines several advanced technologies: RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro for local dimming; RGB Triluminos Max with Luminance Booster that merges QD‑OLED‑level colour richness with Mini‑LED brightness; Smooth Colour Gradation for ultra‑fine tonal transitions; and X‑Wide Angle Pro (available on 65‑inch and larger models) to maintain colour consistency from wide viewing positions. At the processing core is Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR, which mimics human perception to optimise depth, contrast and clarity. XR Contrast Booster (20) balances light and dark elements, XR Clear Image reduces noise and up‑scales lower‑resolution content, and XR Motion Clarity analyses multiple frames for smooth, blur‑free motion. The TV supports Dolby Vision®, HDR10, HLG and IMAX® Enhanced, with Studio‑Calibrated Modes for Netflix, Prime Video and Sony Pictures Core. Audio is powered by Acoustic Multi‑Audio+ (on 65‑inch and above), tweeters for enhanced bass, Voice Zoom 3 with AI Sound Separation, 3D Surround Upscaling, Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® for a 5.1.4 virtual surround experience.
Model Range and Pricing
The series launches with four screen‑size variants: 55‑inch (140 cm) priced at INR 3,59,900 MRP (Best Buy INR 2,21,990), 65‑inch (165 cm) at INR 4,39,900 MRP (Best Buy INR 2,74,990), 75‑inch (190 cm) at INR 6,19,900 MRP (Best Buy INR 4,19,990) and 85‑inch (215 cm) at INR 7,19,900 MRP (Best Buy INR 5,29,990). Dedicated optimisations for PlayStation 5 include Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode, and PS Remote Play is supported.
Smart TV and Services
Powered by Google TV with Gemini, the BRAVIA 7II offers access to over 400,000 movies and TV shows, thousands of apps and games, Hands‑Free Voice Search, built‑in Google Assistant and compatibility with Apple AirPlay 2, Apple HomeKit, Google Cast and Alexa‑enabled devices. Gemini will be delivered via an over‑the‑air update, enabling AI‑driven interactions and smarter content recommendations. Sony Pictures Core provides a curated library of blockbuster titles, including IMAX® Enhanced films, streamed with Pure Stream at up to 80 Mbps. New customers receive ten movie credits for 24 months.
Design, Durability and Sustainability
The design follows Sony’s Harmonic Presence concept, featuring an Immersive Frame and Mirage Stand for 55‑inch to 85‑inch models, and a premium T‑Shape Stand for the 98‑inch variant. X‑Protection PRO safeguards the unit against lightning, power surges, dust and humidity. Eco Dashboard 2 and power‑efficient RGB LED control enable users to monitor energy consumption and receive power‑saving recommendations. An Inclusive Affordable Remote, co‑designed with people with disabilities, offers tactile differentiation and clear button spacing.
