South32 Cuts Australia Manganese Forecast >6%

South32 lowered its FY2026 Australia manganese production guidance to 3 million wet metric tons, a >6% reduction.
The cut follows wet-season rainfall and Tropical Cyclone Narelle disrupting the Gemco mine in the Northern Territory.
Despite disruptions, Q3 output rose to 589,000 wmt in Australia and 500,000 wmt in South Africa, up from zero and 476,000 wmt respectively.
