SpiceJet Limited has announced the induction of three Airbus A320 aircraft into its fleet under damp lease arrangements. The disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
All three aircraft have arrived in India and are scheduled to commence commercial operations later this week. The addition is part of the airline's network expansion plans and will enhance connectivity across key domestic routes.
The damp lease arrangement provides greater operational flexibility while delivering significant cost efficiencies. SpiceJet is also in advanced discussions with other lessors to induct additional aircraft in the coming months as part of its planned fleet augmentation programme.
Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer of SpiceJet, stated that the induction is part of planned capacity expansion to meet growing demand. The aircraft will help add more flights on existing routes, improve connectivity, and support the launch of new services. The airline is building capacity ahead of the busy travel season to offer passengers a wider choice of destinations and a reliable travel experience.
