Record‑Setting Golu Installation
SPR Constructions Pvt. Ltd., a unit of SPR Group India, secured a place in the World Book of Records (London) for creating the tallest Golu display ever recorded. The structure stood 53.8 feet tall and 42 feet wide, comprising more than 3,750 traditional dolls arranged in a stepped configuration. The certificate was presented by Ms. Ankita Shah, Chartered Officer of the World Book of Records, to Mr. Prakash Mohanasundaram, Vice President – Revenue, and Mr. Balakumar Chandrasekaran, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, on behalf of SPR Constructions.
Navaratri Utsavam Highlights
The record‑setting display formed the centerpiece of SPR City’s ten‑day Navaratri Utsavam, held from 11 October to 20 October 2026 in Perambur, Chennai. Over one lakh (more than 100,000) visitors attended the festivities, which also featured traditional poojas, devotional music, and cultural performances, allowing families and devotees to experience the spirit of Navaratri.
