Overview
SS Nagarkar Jewellers, after serving Pune and Thane customers for more than seven decades, inaugurated its fourth showroom in Pune on Sunday, 21 September 2026. The new outlet, located on Baner‑Mhalunge Road, represents the company's fifth showroom overall and is intended to serve customers in Baner and surrounding areas.
Inauguration Details
The ceremony was attended by Kinetic Group Director Jayshree Firodia, industrialists Jagdish Kadam and Mohana Kadam, as well as customers M B Patil and Sangeeta Patil. Members of the Nagarkar family present included Vasant Nagarkar, Swati Vallabh Nagarkar, Vasanti Vasant Nagarkar, Prasad Nagarkar, Pushkar Nagarkar, Priyanka Nagarkar, Anagha Nagarkar, Pooja Nagarkar‑Kulkarni, Rohan Kulkarni, and Kuhu Nagarkar.
Corporate Social Responsibility
As part of its social responsibility initiatives, Nagarkar Jewellers extended financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each to three organisations: the Suhrud Foundation (rehabilitation of children with hearing impairment), Vanchit Vikas (support for under‑privileged sections), and the Sanskar Sanjeevan Foundation in Solapur. Representatives of the three NGOs received the cheques during the inauguration.

Jayshree Firodia praised the grandeur of the new showroom and the craftsmanship on display, noting that the Nagarkar family has created a distinct identity by blending traditional legacy with a focus on quality. Jagdish Kadam commended the family's balance of business growth with social responsibility. Vasant Nagarkar recalled that the jewellery business was founded by Shripad Nagarkar in 1952 and highlighted that traditional and pure jewellery remain the company's speciality. He added that the rapid expansion of Pune makes the Baner outlet convenient for customers.
Expansion Outlook
Prasad Nagarkar indicated that the company plans to expand to other districts in the coming years. The Baner outlet will feature the Arya Collection and an exclusive ‘Rajwada’ concept, under which each premium jewellery design is produced only once.
Existing Presence and Product Range
Pushkar Nagarkar outlined the company's existing showrooms in Tulshibaug, Laxmi Road, Kothrud (Pune) and Thane, and described a wide range of offerings across gold, silver, diamond, and polki jewellery. The Baner showroom displays traditional pieces such as bakuli, pohe haar, thushi, Shrimant haar, Kolhapuri saaj, vajra tika, chandrahaar, and pearl jewellery, as well as fusion designs like kundan necklaces, geru necklaces, nakas work, moti‑kundan jewellery, wheat‑pattern necklaces, rani haar, and Lakshmi haar. Additionally, customers can purchase silver articles including temple units, deity idols, and silver sofa sets, among other traditional and rare items.
