Standard Aero Wins $62M Navy Engine Repair Contract
Standard Aero Inc. (NYSE: SPAR), a San Antonio‑based aerospace company, has been awarded a $62.3 million modification to an existing firm‑fixed‑price, indefinite‑delivery/indefinite‑quantity (IDIQ) contract for United States Navy engine repair services, as announced by the Department of War on 21 August 2026. The modification authorizes continued depot‑level repair of T56‑A‑427 engines, covering the power section, torque meter, gearbox and associated accessories in accordance with Navy depot manuals and approved repair practices.
The work will be executed primarily at Standard Aero’s facilities in San Antonio, Texas, which will account for 75 % of the effort, while the remaining 25 % will be performed at the company’s site in Winnipeg, Canada. The contract is scheduled for completion in August 2027.
Funding for the contract will not be obligated at the time of award; instead, funds will be obligated on each individual task order as it is issued. The contracting activity is the Naval Air Systems Command located in Patuxent River, Maryland, and the award resulted from a competitive procurement process.
No additional financial obligations or milestones were disclosed beyond the contract value and the projected completion date.
