Stellantis Italy Production Up 13.7% H1 2026
Stellantis reported that vehicle production at its Italian facilities reached 252,223 units during the January‑June 2026 period, representing a 13.7% increase compared with the same half‑year in 2025, according to the FIM‑Cisl trade union. Passenger‑car output, which excludes light commercial vehicles, climbed 27.7% year‑on‑year to 158,193 units, driven by the commissioning of new production lines for the Jeep Compass and the Fiat 500 hybrid models. The union projects that total output from Stellantis’ Italian plants for the full 2026 calendar year will be approximately 500,000 vehicles, which remains below the 750,000 units produced in 2023 and short of the Italian government’s target of one million units annually. While most plants recorded higher output, the Cassino plant in central Italy experienced a 36.2% decline in production.
