Stellantis Seeks Maserati Partnerships, No Sale

During a parliamentary hearing in Rome, Stellantis chief executive Antonio Filosa disclosed that the group is in talks with two undisclosed partners regarding its Maserati brand. The discussions are aimed at forging collaborations that could bring new technologies and ideas to Maserati’s product line.

Filosa indicated that the prospective partnerships would impact the Cassino plant, which currently assembles both Maserati and Alfa Romeo vehicles, as well as the Modena plant where other Maserati models are built. He added that the Pomigliano facility near Naples, slated for high‑volume affordable electric‑vehicle production, might also be considered for partnership activities.

He emphatically stated that Stellantis has no intention to sell either the Maserati brand or the Cassino plant, underscoring that the future of Cassino is "closely tied" to Maserati and that the brand will remain "an icon of Italian style."

Filosa revealed that a new Maserati plan, described as "ambitious," will be presented in December and will include two new key models, though further details were not provided.
