Stryker and IAGE Announce Strategic Partnership for Fluorescence‑Guided Gynaecology Surgery
On 31 August 2026, Stryker, a global leader in medical technologies, entered into a strategic partnership with the Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists (IAGE). The agreement was signed during the Pelvic Organ Prolapse Conference 2026 held in Chennai and was witnessed by approximately 350 gynaecological surgeons and healthcare professionals from across India.
The partnership is designed to strengthen surgeon education and capabilities in fluorescence‑guided surgery (FGS) within gynaecology. FGS is described as an emerging advancement that provides enhanced intra‑operative visualisation, supporting greater surgical precision, more informed clinical decision‑making, and improved patient care.
Over the next two years, Stryker and IAGE will deliver pan‑India clinical educational initiatives. Participating surgeons will receive structured training in FGS and will have opportunities to interact with leading Indian and international experts, facilitating knowledge exchange and encouraging the adoption of global best practices in gynaecological surgery.
Aman Rishi, Vice President & General Manager for India at Stryker, stated that as India’s surgical landscape evolves, innovation must be matched by continuous clinical capability building, and that the collaboration will expand access to structured FGS training. Dr. Sudha Tandon, President of IAGE, emphasized that minimally invasive gynaecological surgery is entering a new era, requiring continuous learning and structured training, and expressed confidence that the partnership will create a strong platform for education and elevate the standard of gynaecological care across India.
