Press Release – Studies In Overseas (SIO) – 3 Nov 2026
Studies In Overseas (SIO), an overseas‑education consultancy, issued a press release on 3 November 2026 marking its seventh anniversary and outlining new initiatives to make international education more affordable for Indian students.
The firm announced the SIO Nikhil‑Dipti Scholarship, which provides a flat ₹25,000 to every Indian student who applies to study in Italy, subject to the programme’s terms and eligibility criteria. The scholarship aims to encourage greater participation in Italian higher‑education programmes.
SIO’s core service fee is ₹2 lakh, payable in two instalments: ₹50,000 at the application stage and the remaining ₹1.5 lakh after the student receives an offer letter from a foreign university. The consultancy also advises that visa applicants typically need to demonstrate sufficient funds for living expenses; in the illustrative case of a two‑year programme, the required amount was approximately ₹23 lakh.
To address the financing gap, SIO highlighted its partnership with Credila, a non‑banking financial company (NBFC). Under this arrangement, eligible students can secure education loans of up to ₹25 lakh. The loan structure may allow up to 10 % of the sanctioned amount to be disbursed before the visa process is completed, contingent on the lender’s terms and approval.
SIO also informed prospective students about scholarship opportunities in Italy and Germany that can cover full tuition fees. Additionally, regional and need‑based scholarship programmes in Italy can provide around ₹7 lakh per year to assist with accommodation, meals, and other living costs, depending on the specific scheme and eligibility.
The release cited a case study of a student named Rahul, who, after a chance meeting with Mr Richard, Director of SIO, learned about the combined effect of tuition‑fee waivers, the ₹25,000 scholarship, and Credila’s loan facility. Rahul eventually completed his studies in Italy and secured employment earning a salary in euros, illustrating how SIO’s guidance can transform financial constraints into a viable pathway for global education and career prospects.
Overall, SIO’s announcement underscores its commitment to expanding access to overseas education through scholarship awareness, personalised consultancy, and structured financing options, thereby aiming to bridge the information and financial gaps that deter many Indian families from pursuing international studies.
