Launch of Suffolk Global in India
Suffolk announced on 6 November 2026 the formal launch of Suffolk Global, an operational unit based in Bengaluru, India, designed to tap the country's deep technical talent and forward‑thinking economy. The unit will integrate Indian colleagues into Suffolk’s U.S. construction teams across design, technology, artificial intelligence, process excellence and construction delivery, operating under shared standards, ownership and accountability.
Strategic Rationale
The construction industry faces tighter timelines, cost escalation, workforce constraints and productivity issues. Suffolk aims to address these challenges by combining U.S. building experience with Indian technical expertise, thereby strengthening its innovation ecosystem and delivering greater client value.
Leadership Comments
John Fish, Chairman and CEO, stated that Suffolk Global is a key part of the strategy to “redefine how America builds.” CFO Puneet Mahajan highlighted that the initiative will enable smarter processes, better decision‑making and coordinated work across the enterprise. President Murthy Koti added that India’s expertise will directly contribute to complex project delivery.
Hiring Plan
To date, Suffolk Global has opened 45 positions, with many hires already in place. The company plans to recruit more than 200 additional employees over the next few years, targeting roles in AI engineering, digital construction, architecture and design visualization.
