Announcement
On 26 October 2026, IIRIS Consulting, India’s leading risk‑consulting firm, in partnership with The Times of India, issued a press release announcing that nominations are now open for the Surakshit India Awards 2026. The awards, part of the Secure India Summit (TSIS 2026), will recognise excellence across 19 distinct categories that span workplace, public‑space and cyberspace security.
Purpose and Vision
The awards aim to bring the often‑unseen contributors to India’s safety and development into the spotlight, providing industry benchmarks and overdue recognition. Rooted in the ideology of Surakshit Bharat, Viksit Bharat, the initiative asserts that secure campuses, resilient infrastructure, trusted technology and courageous personnel are foundational to a developed nation.
Award Structure
The 2026 awards are divided into four broad groups:
1. Safe & Secure Excellence Awards – honouring secure business campuses, manufacturing facilities, hotels, shopping complexes and Made‑in‑India security solutions.
2. Fire Safety Excellence Awards – recognising organisations that exemplify best‑in‑class fire safety, preparedness and response systems.
3. Cyber & Information Security Excellence Awards – awarded to institutions that have implemented robust cybersecurity measures protecting India’s digital ecosystem.
4. Bravehearts Awards – celebrating individual security guards and firefighters whose acts of bravery have saved lives and property, with the highest level of financial and other benefits.

Quote from Organiser
Garry Singh, President of IIRIS Consulting, stated: “Most industry awards celebrate only companies and their leadership. The Surakshit India Awards take a 360‑degree view, recognising people, processes, technology and ideas. Beyond honouring the top tier, the Bravehearts Awards provide security guards and firefighters with the highest level of financial and other benefits. These awards are a celebration of what India is achieving.”
Secure India Summit (TSIS 2026)
The awards are integrated into the Secure India Summit, a national platform that convenes government officials, military and law‑enforcement agencies, industry leaders and security experts to discuss emerging threats and collaborative resilience strategies. The summit returns for its second year, featuring the Surakshit India Awards as a central component.
