Announcement Overview

IIRIS Consulting, described as India’s foremost risk consulting organization, in partnership with The Times of India, issued a press release on 26 October 2026 announcing the opening of nominations for the Surakshit India Awards 2026. This is the second edition of the national‑level awards linked to the Secure India Summit (TSIS 2026) and aims to honour individuals and organisations that safeguard India’s workspaces, public spaces and cyberspace.

Award Categories and Scope

The awards are classified into four broad groups:

  • Safe & Secure Excellence Awards – recognise secure business campuses, manufacturing facilities, hotels, shopping complexes and Made‑in‑India security solutions.
  • Fire Safety Excellence Awards – honour institutions that exemplify best‑in‑class fire safety, preparedness and response systems.
  • Cyber & Information Security Excellence Awards – acknowledge entities that have implemented robust cybersecurity measures to protect India’s digital infrastructure.
  • Bravehearts Awards – celebrate security guards and firefighters for acts of bravery that protect lives and property.

A total of 19 distinct categories fall under these groups.

Nomination Process and Timeline

Nominations are accepted until 1 December 2026. Eligible achievements must have occurred between 1 October 2025 and 1 October 2026. Submissions are made via the portal www.secureindiasummit.com, where nominees register for the chosen category, download the nomination form, and upload the completed form with supporting documents. For the Bravehearts Awards, nominations may be submitted by employers, supervisors, fire departments, or as self‑nominations accompanied by a letter of authorisation from the nominee’s current organisation. Shortlisted candidates will engage in a virtual interaction with the jury before final selection. The award ceremony will be held on 18 December 2026 at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, as a highlight of the Secure India Summit.

Summit Context

The Secure India Summit (TSIS 2026), organised jointly by IIRIS Consulting and The Times of India, provides a national platform for government, military, law‑enforcement agencies, industry and security experts to discuss emerging threats and collaborative safety measures. The summit returns for its second year and incorporates the Surakshit India Awards as a key component.

Leadership Quote

Garry Singh, President of IIRIS Consulting, stated: “Most industry awards celebrate only companies and their leadership. The Surakshit India Awards take a 360‑degree view, recognising people, processes, technology and ideas. Beyond honouring the top tier, the Bravehearts Awards provide security guards and firefighters with the highest level of financial and other benefits. These awards are a celebration of what India is achieving.”
