SwiftPAL, the personalised adaptive learning platform developed by ConveGenius.AI, has been named in the Top 25 shortlist for the Majors category of the second annual Global EdTech Prize, a competition founded by T4 Education with the support of Owl Ventures and Digital Promise. The prize, which recognises trailblazing educational tools, is judged by educators and will announce winners live at the World Schools Summit in London on 17 January 2027.

Platform Overview and Context
SwiftPAL is designed to address the learning‑poverty gap identified by ASER 2024, where only 23.4 % of Standard III children in government schools can read a Standard II‑level text despite 98 % enrollment. Globally, the World Bank and UNESCO estimate that 70 % of ten‑year‑olds in low‑ and middle‑income countries cannot read a simple text. The platform begins by diagnosing each learner’s current knowledge through adaptive assessments, then creates an individual learning path that delivers videos, practice questions, hints and retries. Learners spend two class periods per week in school ICT labs to catch up to grade‑level concepts.
Impact Evidence
An independent randomised controlled trial conducted by the University of Chicago’s Development Innovation Lab, led by Nobel laureate Dr Michael Kremer, tracked SwiftPAL across 120 schools in all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh over 17 months and validated that students learned 2.3 times faster, equivalent to nearly two additional years of learning. In Uttar Pradesh, under the nation’s first outcomes‑based financing model for public education, SwiftPAL users outperformed peers by 16 to 54 percentage points across subjects in an independent evaluation covering 280 schools and 72,000 students. In Rajasthan, the programme expanded from a 60‑school pilot to more than 3,700 schools on a government mandate.
Scale and Cost
SwiftPAL now reaches over 4 million students in more than 15,000 schools across 22 Indian states and 145 districts, with an annual cost ranging from USD 10 to 35 per student.
Awards and Recognition
The platform has received the CIPS Innovation Award 2025, been designated a Government of India GeM Top Seller in the Startup Category, and won the Best Personalised and Adaptive Learning Solution award at the 16th World Education Summit.

Next Steps for the Global EdTech Prize
The top ten finalists in each of the three prize categories will be announced in September, after which finalists will be invited to the World Schools Summit to showcase their solutions before an expert panel of technology and education leaders, investors and policymakers. The panel will narrow each category to three final entrants, who will present to educators for a secret‑ballot vote, with winners announced live on stage at the summit.
