Swyom Advisors Marks Three Years of Operations
On 5 September 2026, Swyom Advisors Limited hosted an evening reception titled Beyond Alpha: Chapter 3 at the Grand Ballroom, Taj Santacruz, Mumbai. The event, themed “Building Bonds, Breaking Boundaries, Blazing Beyond,” brought together investors, distribution partners, service providers and associates from the Indian capital‑markets ecosystem.
Operational Highlights
Radha Raman Agarwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, noted that the past three years have spanned a broad market advance, a mid‑cycle correction, a geopolitical energy shock and a sharp reversal in foreign flows, underscoring that the firm has been tested in non‑benign conditions. In her presentation, Agarwal disclosed that Swyom Advisors now manages assets exceeding Rs 300 crore across approximately 200 investors. The firm’s headcount has grown to more than 20 professionals, including a dedicated in‑house research team. She clarified that the increase in assets under management reflects a mix of investor inflows and market movements and does not represent performance returns.
Distribution and Partnerships
Director Aditi Kedia outlined the expansion of Swyom’s investor and partner base, describing a distribution network that spans independent advisers, wealth platforms and family offices. Director and Investment Committee member Sweta Agarwal concluded the evening by formally recognising more than 24 partner firms and professional associates for their contributions during the first three years.
Market Context – Indian Alternatives Landscape
Agarwal referenced SEBI’s Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) statistics, stating that total commitments across AIFs have reached approximately Rs 16.94 lakh crore since the framework’s inception in 2012. Within this pool, Category III funds account for about Rs 3.15 lakh crore, making them the fastest‑growing of the three AIF categories. She emphasized that the Indian alternatives market is transitioning from product‑centric discussions to a focus on process, decision‑making, risk governance and thesis validation, and that allocators are increasingly scrutinising these aspects.
Fireside Conversation
The programme featured a fireside chat on the premiumisation of Indian consumption between Sanjay Mishra, former COO of Marico India and former CEO of New Business at Marico, and Jaideep Kanse, Business Consulting Partner at Swyom and former Chief Marketing Officer at Asian Paints.
Forward‑Looking Priorities
Looking ahead, Agarwal outlined several strategic initiatives:
- Opening a new office in Kolkata to broaden the partner network beyond western India.
- Strengthening the research function with enhanced institutional data and analytics infrastructure, and expanding both research and sales teams.
- Evaluating a presence in GIFT City to diversify the geographic investor base.
- Continuing investment in governance, talent development and investor experience as the business scales.
