Overview

TackOn Knowledge Solutions OPC Pvt Ltd, a Hyderabad‑based quizzing and educational content company founded in 2021, announced the launch of Yaksha Prashna, a monthly print magazine targeted at children aged 6‑16. The magazine is intended to counter the trend of fragmented digital consumption by offering screen‑free, question‑led, story‑driven reading that covers science, general knowledge and everyday phenomena.

Product Details

Yaksha Prashna is priced at ₹549 per annual subscription, which includes delivery to any address within India and also offers international shipping. The publication is named after the “Yaksha Prashna” episode of the Mahabharata, reflecting the company’s belief that a good question sparks deeper curiosity. Each issue presents content in a question‑and‑story format rather than a textbook style, encouraging children to explore why things happen and how they work.

Market Adoption

Several schools have already subscribed, including Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s, Film Nagar, Pebble Creek Life School and Jubilee Hills Public School in Hyderabad, as well as additional institutions in other cities. Schools use the magazine in classrooms and libraries, providing a whole‑classroom reading experience rather than isolated individual use.

Strategic Intent

CEO and quizmaster Bodhanapu Vishnu explained that the initiative stems from observations made during hundreds of quiz events, where children’s attention was increasingly captured by fast‑moving social‑media content. CFO Sahith noted that school subscriptions allow an entire classroom to engage with the material each month, helping reading and curiosity become habitual. TackOn plans to broaden school partnerships and continue reaching families directly through annual subscriptions while maintaining the option for international delivery.
