Tata Chemicals Subsidiary Completes SVM Customer Contracts Acquisition

Tata Chemicals North America Inc. (TCNA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Chemicals Limited, has successfully completed the acquisition of North American soda ash customer contracts from Searles Valley Minerals Inc. (SVM), USA.

The acquisition represents customer contracts for over 500,000 metric tonnes of soda ash to be serviced over a period of two years.

The completion occurred on September 11, 2026, following the satisfaction of all conditions precedent and other terms set out in the Assignment and Assumption Agreement.

This acquisition follows TCNA being declared the successful bidder in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings of SVM, as previously intimated via letter and Press Release dated August 29, 2026.
