Project Scope and Business Details
RPTL was set up on Build-Own-Operate-Transfer basis to provide transmission services. The project comprises:
Transmission Infrastructure:
- Construction of approximately 250 km line route including:
- 400 kV D/C line from Ryapte AIS Sub-station to proposed 400/220 kV Doddathaggalli GIS S/s
- 400 kV D/C line from existing Kolar S/s to proposed Doddathaggalli GIS S/s
- 220 kV D/C line from proposed Doddathaggalli GIS S/s to 220 kV existing substations of Ekarajapura, Hosakote and Sarjapura in Karnataka
- 220 kV Underground cable from Doddathaggalli GIS S/s to Ekarajapura, Hosakote and Sarjapura substations
Substation Development:
- Establishing 5x500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Ryapte in Tumkur District with 2x125MVAr 400 kV Bus Reactors
- Establishing 3X500 MVA, 400/220kV GIS substation at Doddathaggalli (Near Hosakote) with 2x125 MVAr 400 kV Bus Reactors
Commercial Operation Timeline: The scheduled date of commercial operation (SCOD) will be 30 months from the date of SPV acquisition (July 30, 2026).
