Project Scope and Infrastructure
The project involves comprehensive transmission infrastructure development in Karnataka:
Transmission Line Construction (approx. 250 km route):
- 400 kV D/C line from Ryapte AIS Substation to proposed 400/220 kV Doddathaggalli GIS Substation
- 400 kV D/C line from existing Kolar Substation to proposed Doddathaggalli GIS Substation
- 220 kV D/C line from proposed Doddathaggalli GIS Substation to existing 220 kV substations at Ekarajapura, Hosakote, and Sarjapura
- 220 kV Underground cable from Doddathaggalli GIS Substation to Ekarajapura, Hosakote, and Sarjapura substations
Substation Establishment:
- 3x500 MVA, 400/220 kV GIS substation at Doddathaggalli (Near Hosakote) along with 2x125 MVA, 400 kV Bus Reactors
- Green field substation at Ryapte, Tumkur (400/220 kV AIS)
- Green field substation at Doddathaggalli, Hoskote (400/220 kV GIS)
Counterparty and Transaction Details
- Awarding Entity: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (domestic entity)
- Relationship: No promoter/promoter group/group company interest in the awarding entity
- Related Party Transaction: Not applicable
- Execution Period: The award is placed on the company for a period of 35 years
