Announcement

Digital asset infrastructure provider Taurus and secure hosting firm MPCH have entered into a partnership to build a dedicated U.S.-based deployment environment for institutional cryptocurrency custody. MPCH will furnish a secured area within its high‑security U.S. facilities, leveraging its proprietary secure infrastructure environment and managed services, while Taurus will retain control over its hardware security module (HSM) technology and cryptographic operations. The deployment is designed to serve banks, custodians, exchanges, enterprises and government agencies that require data residency, operational resilience and infrastructure sovereignty within the United States. Both parties highlighted the inclusion of geographically separated disaster‑recovery sites, enterprise‑grade physical security and a resilient network architecture. The solution will also support tier‑one HSMs capable of running certain post‑quantum signature algorithms, subject to appropriate firmware and certification, allowing institutions to test new cryptographic methods without overhauling existing custody architectures. Deployment timelines and service availability were not disclosed. "Financial institutions need the flexibility to deploy digital asset infrastructure in a way that meets their specific security, resilience, and regulatory requirements," said Milena Kohlhofer, strategic partnerships executive at Taurus. "Organizations also need trusted infrastructure that aligns with their security, operational, and regulatory requirements," added Miles Parry, CEO of MPCH.
