Overview
TELUS Digital India, formerly TELUS International India, mobilised more than 750 of its team‑member volunteers on its “TELUS Days of Giving” (TDOG) initiative to refurbish the 78‑year‑old government‑aided Shri Gandhi Inter College in Greater Noida, Delhi‑NCR.
Physical Refurbishment
Volunteers painted murals and refreshed the appearance of 25 classrooms and six hallways across six school buildings, and repainted 250 sitting benches. Prior to the volunteer day, skilled professionals completed essential repairs including ceiling waterproofing in nine classrooms, washroom renovations, repainting of five science laboratories and the library, and general white‑washing.
Infrastructure and Resources
The project also saw the installation of a 10 kW off‑grid solar system, the donation of 30 laptops for the computer laboratories, a new water cooler and additional sports equipment, all intended to serve the school’s more than 1,000 students.
Digital‑Safety Programme
Alongside the physical upgrades, TELUS Digital India launched “TELUS Wise”, a volunteer‑led programme aimed at raising awareness of online safety, security and responsible digital behaviour among students. The launch coincided with the United Nations International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development, observed throughout 2026.
