Programme Overview
TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS) issued a press release on 19 June 2026 announcing its Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics, a programme launched in 2023 and fully aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The curriculum adopts an interdisciplinary approach, integrating economic theory, policy analysis, environmental science, natural science, and data science to prepare graduates for roles at the intersection of economics, sustainability, and public policy.
Academic Structure and Flexibility
The programme offers multiple exit options: students completing three years receive a B.Sc. degree in Economics, while those extending to a fourth year earn a B.Sc. Honours with Research. An optional minor specialisation in Data Science is available, providing hands‑on training in statistical modelling, machine learning, and data visualisation. Although Mathematics at the 10+2 level is not a prerequisite, an introductory mathematics course is delivered in Semester 1 to equip students lacking that background.
Eligibility and Admissions
Admissions are open to candidates who have completed 10+2 from any recognised board, irrespective of stream—Humanities, Commerce, or Science.
