TerraPay and Alipay+ Forge Global QR‑Payment Partnership
On September 9, 2026, in Dubai, UAE, TerraPay – a global money‑movement company – and Alipay+, the unified wallet gateway of Ant International, announced a strategic partnership aimed at delivering seamless cross‑border QR payments for digital wallets. The collaboration is designed to boost global payments interoperability for users in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
The initial rollout will connect fifteen African digital wallets that are already linked to Xend, TerraPay’s wallet‑interoperability network, to Alipay+’s extensive merchant ecosystem. Those wallets will be able to transact at more than 150 million merchants worldwide that accept Alipay+ payments. This marks the first phase of expanding TerraPay’s cross‑border payment suite from traditional account‑to‑account transfers to real‑time in‑store QR acceptance across the globe.
