Announcement

TerraPay announced the integration of its TerraPay Verify payee verification solution into Kinexys by J.P. Morgan’s Liink Confirm application, enabling participants on the Kinexys Liink network and existing TerraPay Verify clients to validate bank‑account and digital‑wallet details across a broad range of global markets.

Scope and Reach

The collaboration gives financial institutions and non‑bank financial institutions connected to the Kinexys Liink network access to TerraPay Verify’s extensive verification capabilities, covering more than 7.5 billion bank accounts in over 156 countries and 3.7 billion digital wallets through TerraPay’s Xend interoperability network.

Market Context

A LexisNexis Risk Solutions “True Impact of Failed Payments 2026” study estimates that 10‑15 % of international payments fail because of incorrect beneficiary details, leading to settlement delays, higher operational costs and increased fraud exposure. The integration aims to reduce these failures by enabling pre‑payment recipient verification.

Strategic Alignment

The partnership aligns with the G20 roadmap for enhancing cross‑border payments and supports banks worldwide in delivering a more seamless customer experience. Paul Atkinson, Head of Kinexys Liink Product, said the integration makes it easier for institutions to improve control and reduce payment fraud. David Backshall, VP Payment Partnerships at TerraPay, emphasized that verification across both bank accounts and digital wallets is fundamental to payment certainty.
