Overview

Tetra Pak India announced that it will highlight four interconnected consumer shifts shaping the next generation of beverages—wellness, convenience, value, and experience—under the theme “Your next beverage idea starts here” at Drinktec India 2026. The showcase will run from 28 – 30 October 2026 at the Mumbai Exhibition Centre, Hall No. 4, Booth D056.

Consumer Trends

  • Wellness wave: Growing demand for drinks with no added, reduced or no sugar, enriched with protein, fibre for digestion and gut health, and ingredients linked to antioxidant and immunity benefits.
  • Convenience unlocked: Consumers seek on‑the‑go beverages accessible via e‑commerce and delivery, creating opportunities for meal‑replacement smoothies, functional shots, re‑closeable packs, ready‑to‑drink formats in electrolytes and specialised nutrition, and products with longer shelf life without added preservatives.
  • Pursuit of value: Value is generated at both market ends; smaller, low‑price‑point packs lower entry barriers, while multipacks and bulk buys enhance affordability. Premium claims such as no added sugar, alternative sweetening, extended shelf life and stronger sustainability storytelling can justify higher pricing.
  • Experience and indulgence: Innovation is driven by flavor, texture and interaction, spanning new fruit and regional flavor cues, beverage blends, particulates and pulp, mocktail‑inspired recipes, and QR‑led digital engagement that adds discovery to the drinking experience.

The direction of customer trials and queries at Tetra Pak’s Product Development Centre in Chakan, Pune, reflects this convergence of trends.

Processing Technologies

Tetra Pak will demonstrate four processing solutions aimed at improving efficiency, resource optimisation, waste reduction and total cost of ownership while supporting sustainability goals:

1. In‑line Blending – optimises ingredient usage and blending efficiency.

2. Sustainable Juice Production – showcases resource‑efficient juice manufacturing while maintaining product quality.

3. Horizontal Filter – ensures consistent product quality, process performance and operational reliability.

4. Reverse Osmosis Technology – reduces water consumption and enhances utility efficiency across beverage operations.

Packaging Solutions

The company will exhibit its Tetra Prisma® Aseptic Edge packaging formats ranging from 200 ml to 1000 ml, illustrating how brands can select pack sizes suited to different products, consumption occasions, price points and distribution channels.

Co‑Packing Network

Tetra Pak will also present its co‑packing network, explaining how it can assist customers in identifying suitable manufacturing partners based on product requirements, capabilities and market needs, thereby enabling emerging and established brands to accelerate speed‑to‑market without building production facilities from scratch.

Visitors to the booth will be able to experience and sample concepts across high‑protein, advanced hydration, low‑sugar, plant‑based and lactose‑free beverages.
