Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has received an amendment letter dated 28th October, 2026 from the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) exercising Clause 12.0 (Option Clause) of their original contract. The amendment increases the ordered quantity for Manufacture and Supply of BOXNS wagons from 3,400 to 4,420 units, representing an additional quantity of 1,020 BOXNS wagons.
The additional order is valued at ₹412.32 crores and maintains the same price, terms, and conditions as the original contract. The total amended value of the contract after this quantity increase is ₹1,786.74 crores (including taxes).
The execution/delivery period for the increased quantity will be 162 days beyond the re-fixed delivery period, extending up to 11th June, 2027.
The company has confirmed that neither the promoter/promoter group/group companies have any interest in the Ministry of Railways, nor does this order constitute a related party transaction.
