Overview

On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Rare’Z, the footwear arm of The House of Rare, announced the launch of Montare, a new sneaker collection positioned as a sharper‑edged alternative for everyday dressing for both men and women. The line is priced between ₹5,999 and ₹6,499 and is available across all The House of Rare retail outlets nationwide, as well as through the brand’s website and mobile app.

Product Details

Montare is built around a flat‑soled silhouette crafted from supple leather that molds to the foot for a glove‑like fit. The design emphasizes clean proportions, breathable construction, and easy slip‑on functionality achieved through elastic laces and flexible collars. Each shoe bears the Montare logo as a distinctive motif, reinforcing the brand’s higher‑standard ethos. The collection comprises four variants: the K and K7 models for men and the Q and Q7 models for women. The K and Q styles feature flatter toe shapes, streamlined profiles, and stylised “R” panels, while the K7 and Q7 variants offer rounded toes and gathered elastic collars for a softer look. Select models include subtle debossed branding and metal‑lined trims; the Q and Q7 also provide two lace options, one of which is printed. A colour palette ranging from muted neutrals and earthy tones to more expressive shades allows the design details to stand out.

Founder Insight

Manish Poddar, Founder and Creative Director of The House of Rare and Rare’Z, explained that Montare’s design philosophy centres on the balance of proportion and detail. He noted, “Good design is as much about what you choose to leave out as what you choose to put in. With Montare, the intention was to find the right balance in proportion, to give each silhouette its own character without overworking it. I’m particularly interested in how a small shift in shape or a detail that might seem incidental can change the entire personality of a shoe.”
