Overview
THG India, a joint venture between The Hello Group and Sony Music Entertainment India, announced the completion of its first year of operations, which began on 1 August 2025.
Operational Highlights
- The company locked and serviced more than 250 live shows across concerts, festivals, sporting events, university stages, corporate engagements, premium private events and weddings.
- It managed a roster of 68 artists, including Jonita Gandhi, Nikhita Gandhi, Raja Kumari, W.i.S.H., Arjun Kanungo, SHAI, Manasi Ghosh, Anjana Padmanabhan, Anirudh Suswaram, Mohammad Faiz, producer‑artist AAKASH Ravikrishnan, the duo BANX & RANX and ONEmpire.
- Artists contributed to over 50 distinct releases covering international pop collaborations, Hindi and regional film soundtracks, independent music, hip‑hop, electronic music and contemporary Indian pop. Notable releases include Jonita Gandhi’s collaborations with Cheat Codes, Sevdaliza and Sigala, and AAKASH Ravikrishnan’s production credit on Chris Brown’s “Appreciate It”.
- THG India secured 40 brand partnership deals with companies such as H&M, Westside, Crocs, FILA, Maruti Suzuki, Spotify, Redken, Maybelline, Noise, SHEIN, MINI, Budweiser, The League and JBL. Specific artist‑brand collaborations included Nikhita Gandhi with Kohler, Acer India and H&M; W.i.S.H. with Maybelline, Redken, Crocs, Westside, FILA and Shoppers Stop x HYBE India; Raja Kumari with Dove and Ray‑Ban Meta; and Arjun Kanungo with Ethnix by Raymond and MINI.
Songwriting Camp
- THG India organized one of India’s largest internationally collaborative songwriting camps, running for 137 days across nine studio locations.
- The camp produced more than 130 original songs spanning eight genres: pop, indie pop, house, dance, electronic, hip‑hop, R&B, Afrobeat and Afro‑house.
- Participants included THG‑managed artists and external songwriters and producers such as Alawn, BANX & RANX, AAKASH, Karan Kanchan, SANJOY, Skylar Mones, Oscar Bell, Julia Gartha, Carlos Battey, Kyler Niko and THG CEO Taylor Jones.
Future Outlook
- CEO Taylor Jones stated that the first year demonstrated the depth of Indian talent and the scalability of the venture’s infrastructure.
- For the second year, THG India plans to deepen original music creation, expand domestic and international touring, increase global songwriting and production collaborations, grow brand‑led opportunities and continue developing emerging artists. Upcoming releases mentioned include Anjana Padmanabhan’s EP, new singles from Arjun Kanungo, W.i.S.H., Jonita Gandhi, BANX & RANX, Nikhita Gandhi and Sanjoy.
