Tongwei Solar Wins TÜV Award, Showcases 10W Cells
Tongwei Solar participated in the Renewable Energy India Expo (REI) 2026, which took place in Greater Noida, India, from October 22 to 24, 2026. At the exhibition the company highlighted its latest TNC series high‑efficiency photovoltaic (PV) cells, specifically the TNC 3.0 multi‑cut cells. These cells integrate TPE, Poly Tech and multi‑cut technologies, a combination that reduces cutting losses and enables a module‑level power increase of more than 10 watts per panel, providing added value for downstream module manufacturers.
In addition to the product showcase, Tongwei Solar was honoured with the “Global Benchmark in PV Cell Manufacturing Award” presented by TÜV Rheinland. The award recognises Tongwei’s large‑scale manufacturing capacity, advanced technological capabilities, and high product quality in the high‑efficiency solar cell segment. The company’s PV cell manufacturing operations also hold a Lighthouse Factory designation, have been acknowledged by the World Economic Forum’s MINDS initiative for AI application, and possess TÜV Rheinland’s Zero Carbon Factory certification, underscoring its commitment to intelligent, sustainable production.
The expo featured a presentation by Priyadarshini Sanjay, Managing Director of Mercom, who provided an overview of India’s PV manufacturing landscape and market outlook. Tongwei’s representatives also discussed the broader context of China‑India solar industry collaboration, sharing perspectives on technology transfer, quality assurance, and joint opportunities across the solar value chain.
Throughout the event, Tongwei Solar engaged with global customers and partners, discussing product performance, manufacturing capabilities, technical support, and potential collaborative projects, reinforcing the importance of high‑efficiency technologies and consistent quality in meeting the evolving demands of the global PV market.
